Life Writing Workshop: Special Focus on The Autobiography of Malcolm X
February 21 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
FreeCivil Rights leader Malcolm X was assassinated on 21st February 1965, 60 years ago. His extraordinary life was recounted in his Autobiography (released 9 months after his death) and the 1992 film by Spike Lee. This workshop is a practical tribute to his legacy. We use his life as inspiration to reflect on and write about our life experiences and the influences that help us to transform and feel connected. The workshop is open to aspiring and experienced writers and anyone seeking to acknowledge Malcolm X’s legendary, often uncelebrated contribution to human progress.
