In her 98th year, Aunty Joyce's memoir is a testimony of a strong-willed, spirited elder who has much to share with younger generations, especially those with Guyanese heritage. Fondly adopted as 'Aunty' by many, she shares her life story with honesty, love and deep wisdom. 

This initiative aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for Black women residents of Merton to explore their creativity, well-being, and cultural heritage through writing, journaling, and self-expression.

With well-being and cultural identity as its focus, this workshop will be a practical session on the importance of adornment from an African-centred perspective.
